Last night we had the opportunity to listen to a man that had spent his entire adult life proclaiming the gospel message to people he did not know. He had obeyed the calling of God and went to far away places to present Christ in nations difficult to enter. It was thrilling to hear and see how God is working in our world today!

Entering a new building for the first time can be an intimidating moment for a lot of people. The unfamiliar can cause anxiety in some to the point they will not enter the building or attend the event. This fear can be alleviated by a friend or someone who comes alongside to walk or assist the newcomer.

We are blessed to have good neighbors. Each place we have lived, our neighbors have been caring and helpful as we have sought to take care of one another. It is very comforting to know that when we are away, someone is watching and caring for our home.

It will soon be forty-five years since I last drank alcohol or smoked a cigarette! When I received Christ as my Savior there was an immediate conviction not to have those substances in my life any longer. Those decisions came easily to me but for many people choices such as those are challenging and often takes time to determine a new lifestyle.

There something very special when you observe the gentle touch of a mother as she cares for her child. Radiance shines forth from her eyes and a glow illuminates her face as gently and carefully that tender baby is caressed. The same can be true of an elderly couple as they walk slowly together knowing one another's pace and carefully helping and adjusting to steady and assist one another.
