J. Hudson Taylor is credited with the quote, “God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply”, a statement that Taylor found to be true as he ministered in the nation of China for many years.

How do you respond when your integrity as a person is challenged? I can remember standing at attention and a sergeant telling the entire squad how pathetic and useless we were at that point in our military career!

Being a United States citizen is a wonderful privilege. Most Americans have not, or do not realize its worth. It usually is not until you travel overseas that you begin to acknowledge the worth of our citizenship.

What a special opportunity is ours when we can give our personal testimony of Christ’s gift of salvation! For me personally, it is an occasion to share an event that dramatically changed my life.

How would you address an angry crowd that is threatening to do bodily harm to you? I was confronted with this situation one summer when we were having a Vacation Bible School at the first church I pastored.

The eye of the storm is a distinctive place! Storm chasers and professionals who have reached the center state find there is tranquility and peace in that space.

There are times when it appears the Lord is directing us in contradictory directions. Using God’s word, people may advise us one way when we are convinced by the Lord differently than their counsel. T

There are many times when I come into work here at the church and look at messages or receive phone calls that make my heart rejoice over the way the Lord has worked in people’s lives. Not always is it good news but in every instance I have a confidence that the Lord knows what He is doing even when I do not understand.

Today I will travel in relatively safe places to visit and talk with people, but others will be risking their lives to testify for Christ. Lift up in prayer individuals that you are aware of who are in places of danger. Take a moment and intercede for a family member or an individual that knowingly is entering dangerous situations today.

J.M. Boice says it well, “… if our Christianity is not affecting the economy of our world, we do not have much Christianity. When Christians live as Christians, it will affect how they use their money…”. Instead of shrines and idols we may choose to spend our money today on internet, pleasures such as sports, movies or the latest fad. Are any of these things robbing your devotion from Christ?
