Acts

3/6/2024 -

In the book of Acts, we see how the early Christian church starts to grow and spread its message across the world. The story, written by Luke, shows how the first followers of Jesus, like Peter and Paul, were able to share their beliefs with many different people, both Jews and non-Jews, despite facing challenges and difficulties. It all begins with an event called Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit comes down and helps the believers speak in many different languages, making it easier to share their message with others (Acts 2).

The church's mission is to share the good news of Jesus' resurrection and the gift of salvation with everyone. This mission starts in Jerusalem but quickly spreads to other places like Judea, Samaria, and even Rome. This growth shows that the early Christians were fulfilling the instructions Jesus gave them in Acts 1:8: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." This story, while it took place a long time ago, is still important for Christians today, reminding them that they have a responsibility to share their faith with others all over the world.
